The rise of the gastro pub in Bath has been an interesting phenomenon, complementing the existing restaurant scene. Whilst most of the new gastro pubs have evolved from quite ordinary pubs, there have been a couple of spectacular transformations from really rather rough drinking dens in dodgy areas to stylish settings for a sophisticated night out.
